Indonesian Science Affairs, in collaboration with the Society of Indonesian Science Journalists (SISJ) and ScienceWatchdog.id, is organizing the Indonesian Science Affairs Fellowship, an intensive science journalism training program designed specifically for beginners.
Indonesia needs more journalists who can communicate science to the public accurately, critically, and responsibly—rather than simply chasing sensationalism. This Fellowship program addresses this need by equipping participants with the fundamentals of science journalism, ranging from scientific philosophy and methodology, techniques for interviewing scientists, popular science writing, searching scientific journals, research integrity, and metascience, to coverage of environmental issues.
